V.O.D. For Tens of Millions of Mobile Phone users?

The service that has expanded rapidly last year in the Internet is transmission of moving pictures by streaming and VOD. 

News on politics, economy, public entertainments, sports and music has been delivered by streaming and VOD for PC, many people may expect the same service for mobile phone. However, this will not happen because of the following reason.

1) The capacity limit of the base station: It is necessary to always connect with the base station for receiving moving pictures by streaming, and the more the number of users request to get important News by streaming, the more difficult to get connection with the base station because of its capacity limit.

The number of mobile phone users in Japan exceeds 90 million, and 84% of them are using browser phones, which means around 80million can get access to the Internet by mobile phone. If we suppose 20% of around 80million people simultaneously wants to get details of important news such as earth quake, election results by VOD and streaming，around 16million　people will rush to get access to the base stations of all over Japan. This number far exceeds the capacity of base stations.

2) The capacity limit of the transmission line: The transmission line capacity of 16 million users from base stations to program servers will be occupied and then the line capacity of 16million users from program servers to base stations will be occupied because of VOD and streaming. Such a big volume data transmission will become a big headache for mobile phone companies.

 3) Huge investment for program server is required: To provide moving pictures by VOD and streaming by program servers or by cash servers for the simultaneous access of 16 million mobile phone users, the contents provider shall invest huge amount of money for program servers or cash servers.

How to solve the above problem: There is a method to offer big volume data such as moving pictures for unlimited number of mobile phone users. Broadcasting is the ideal one to deliver big volume data to the unlimited number of users by simple one channel.

 The streaming is the one method to view moving pictures and the other method is download and view on mobile phone display.

Advisor Group recently applied patent on new download and view system by one way transmission for mobile phone or for PC or for TV which works like VOD.

By the new system, users always view the latest News by moving pictures from the top of the program with clear pictures without worrying blurred pictures problem by streaming caused by low transmission speed.

* Ｉt is not difficult to steal the ID password by a cable and wireless interception, and to make the employee to investigate target’s total activities, and to examine target’s mail by bribed person. It totally dependｓ on whether the organization and the person in charge have sense of right and wrong to do these activities or not.
